This is some room tone i recorded in a thankfully quiet time in my studio. It's an oktava 012 microphone in our whisperroom with the door wide open. Signal path is a neve 1272 and an apogee mini-me. Recorded in 24-bit at 48khz.

There are two recordings, one taken from the side with the mic at the wheel and one with the mic under the trailer while recording. (this is the one with the recorder under the trailer. ). From the garden of my house in radstock, birdsong, some footsteps as i walk off down the path, and some low level background noise from the agricultural landscape around me.

Recording a stream in jardim gulbenkian, lisbon. It's a beautiful and tranquil park in central lisbon that happens to be under a flight path, so the ambience is regularly interrupted by the sound of planes landing/ taking-off.

I walked along a quiet forest path in the evening and recorded my steps. In the background you can hear quietly call a tawny owl.

The recording was made by the tracks not not at the train station. I recorded this on a trail near the firth of forth. Waiting for the train :) i think i can hear the sound of the tracks and the passing train with interest. Enjoy.

A walk from my studio on surrey canal road to surrey canal station passing a match at the millwall stadium, a group of ticketless millwall fans watching from a vantage point on the path and commenting on the upcoming general election, the roar of the crowd segueing into the ominous rumbling/squealing of the south east london combined heat and power waste incineration plant and the sound of trains passing on the rails overhead and adjacent to the path. Recording using a tascam dr-02d.

A nice & sunny recording session at the airport! positioned right at the flight path of departing planes, this served as a test recording for the tascam dr-40x. At some point during the session i decided to point the recorder straight up, instead of towards the planes themselves, creating a nice stereo "pass-by" effect.

A raw recording from my iphone 6s of me and my sister walking through a peaceful british park with plenty of birdsong, a little bit of wind noise, and just one car passing by. We're first walking on a gravelly path in the park, to a pavement, and then on some grass as we make our way home.

Imagine a warm, damp-humid august evening in the midwest. It's about 8pm and you're in a mowed path which is 10 feet wide. On either side of you, are two fields of tall -- 9 feet --- corn standing like green, thick grassy sentinels. This is where i was when i recorded this hypnotic sound-scape on saturday night august 9th 2014. I made this recording with my marantz pmd661 (modified by oade brothers electronics)in stereo using twin, matched samson co2 microphones mounted on my tripod about 5 feet above the ground. My record volume was 6 1/2.

A beautiful, ancient sound of a small creek flowing in a heavy midwestern forestafter a late autumn day of rain. (recorded on sunday november 30th, 2019)this particular " scene " is the result of a 2 inch deep flow of water suddenly dropping over several medium-sized old rocks. In a few days, this flow will cease and the creek-bed will revert back to its typical, meandering , dry rocky path through the woods. Enjoy.
